Just days after the release of Drake‘s‘ One Dance’ official single
featuring Wizkid which made it to number 2 on iTunes USA and number
1 in several countries, Essence announces Wizkid as part of the annual Essence
festival line up billed to hold in New Orleans, Louisiana betweenJune 30 and
July 3.
TVC reports that the pop star will be performing alongside Mariah
Carey, Maxwell, Kendrick Lamar and several other international artistes.
This gives the Starboy’s music a strong platform and huge opportunity to
get some R&B/Hip-Hop fans to get familiar and hopefully love his sound
making him crossover stronger to the U.S and International global market.
Wizkid became the first Nigerian artist to emerge on Billboard’s Twitter
