Kim Kardashian is finally being
awarded for all her exhaustive efforts in breaking the internet with her nude
photos, family photos and her app. According to People, the reality TV star
will be honoured with the ‘Break the Internet’ award at the 2016 Webby Awards
on Monday.
The awards committee said the mother of two has “undeniable talent and natural
ability to use the internet to create buzz, engage with fans and communities,
and get the world to pay attention”.
This, we suspect, will please her husband Kanye West to no
end. Recall that during Ye’s interview with Show Studio last October, he said
Keeping up with the Kardashians deserves a bunch of Emmy Awards. “My wife and my family should’ve
had plenty of Emmys by now, but reality shows are considered to be like rap was
when the Modrian [hotel] wouldn’t let Run-DMC and mother-f***ing Will Smith
stay there because they were rappers,” he said.
“The
idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated
for their show, even if it’s the longest running and the most popular and…
everybody I know watches it,” he concluded.
Well,
Kimmy is at least bringing her first award home.
