Bolajizblog
recalls that Japanese surgeon Katsuya Takasu fulfilled his promise to give
the U-23 Dream Team cash rewards for their efforts at the Rio Olympics. Team
coach Samson Siasia and captain Mikel Obi were handed $200,000 and
$190,000 respectively. This came after Sadiq Umar scored twice before
Aminu Umar added a third to hand the Dream Team VI a slim 3-2 win over
Honduras. The South American gave the Nigeria u-23 team a fright in the final
moments of the game, as two late goals via Lazano and Pereira set up a nervy
finish.
