Nigerian Investors Urge African Govts To Remove Visa Restrictions

Nigerian investors have urged African governments to remove visa restrictions as a way of attracting theirinvestments and promoting Intra-African trade.
The business leaders made the proposition at an investment forum to boost investments by African entrepreneurs in the Island nation of Seychelles.

TVC News Sumner Sambo reports that prominent Nigerian businessmen with companies spread across several African countries are being courted here at an investment summit in Seychelles.
Many of these business tycoons share their experiences on how they have navigated the tough investment climate in Africa.

 They are now asking many African governments to relax their visa restrictions and trade laws if they hope to attract more investments.
The investors are backed by an influential African leader and former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who is asking the five regional economic communities in Africa to champion the reduction of time spent on securing visas among member countries.
The forum also canvassed for the full implementation of the blue economy policies adopted by African countries to explore sea resources as a means of diversification.
