Sierra Leone News: ‘China & Africa working together for win-win cooperation’ -Chinese envoy


Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone has described the convocation of the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation summit and the 6th Ministerial meeting which is expected to commence in South Africa today as a mile-stone significance guiding the development of Sino-Africa relations.
Ambassador Zhao Yanbo told a presser in Freetown that the summit would send a strong message to the rest of the world of China and Africa Sino-Africa working together for a win-win cooperation and common development.

He continued that the summit would be the opening up of a new prospect of development to people in China and Africa with the hope of strengthening the confidence of the international community and bring more input to Africa.
According to him, President Xi Jinping of China will co-chair the plenary conference with the South African president, Jacob Zuma as well as taking part in economic and trade discussions.
“The Chinese president will deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the summit and in his statement, he will outline China’s new ideas, plans and measure for China-Africa Cooperation, including industrial production shift, infrastructure construction, human resource exploration, facilitating investment, green development, finance servicing and peace and security,” he explained.
Ambassador Yanbo said the theme of the summit is: “Africa –China progressing together: win-win cooperation for common development” and added that China and Africa are always a community of shared destiny as well as shared interest through cooperation and mutual benefits.
He noted that the philosophy of the win-win cooperation is providing a powerful driving force in boosting the Sino-African development which serves as a paradigm of win-win cooperation among the developing countries.
