Linda Ikeji and Wizkid Nominated for MTV’s Personality of the Year Award

It has been months since we last heard of the Linda Ikeji and Wizkid rivalry and subsequent ‘peaceful’ resolution, and now the folks at MTV Base have given us one more reason to talk about this duo.

Yesterday, the media house published the list of the nominees for the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards which will be hosted by Trevor Noah, and our Nigerian brand ambassadors – Wizkid for music, and Linda Ikeji for blogging – both got the nod for the personality award.

Isn’t that awesome?

The drama between Wizkid and Linda Ikeji began late last year, when the blogger published a story that he was evicted from his plush Lekki residence. Upset by the post, the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer made sexist clapbacks, and at a point, made physical threats which prompted the blogger to file a report against him.

 However, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, brokered a peaceful resolution between them and Ms Ikeji has yet to write a story about the singer ever since.

Now, they have both been nominated for the personality of the year award, and we want the awards ceremony to come quickly!
