Sierra Leone News: A Printer wins Le 114,200,000 ($163,000) Mercury 4/50 jackpot

A printer has become the sixth winner in the 4/50 jackpot since the inception of the draw in March this year.

The lucky winner who did not identify his name and address due to personal reasons won edition 84 of the draw on Monday 19th September 2016 with winning numbers 50-35-45-20.
He won one Hundred and Fourteen Million two hundred thousand Leones (Le 114,200,000). But during the presentation the lucky winner takes home One Hundred and Two Million Eight Hundred and Thirty Thousand Two Hundred Thousand Leones (102,830,200.00).


The company deducted Eleven Million Three Hundred and Sixty Nine Thousand Leones (11,369,000) to pay National Revenue Authority (NRA) tax at the end of the month.
The chairman of Mercury Charity Foundation Mr Samir Hassanyeh advised the winner to use the money wisely by investing it into a business that will bring more profit to him.


The Managing Director of Mercury Mr Martin Michael said that the 4/50 jackpot has become more popular among customers and non-customers which is very nice for the company.
He encouraged more people to try their chance on the 4/50 jackpot as only Le 2,000 can make them Millionaires. And he also revealed that the company will launch another product very soon.
The Lucky winner expressed delight for winning the jackpot. “I am very thankful to God for this day. I have been playing Mercury lottery for a very long time but this is my time”.
