More Troubles For Adam Johnson As Ex-Sunderland Teammates Vow To Ignore Him In Prison

Paedophile Adam Johnson’s ex-teammates will not visit him in prison, writes Phil Cardy in the Sunday People.
The Sunderland players agreed to snub the disgraced player who is starting a six-year sentence.
They met last week and a club source said: “If they did visit they could be accused of sympathising with a paedophile and none of them want that.”
Their decision comes as police have warned five people not to identify the 15-year-old girl groomed by Johnson, 28.
Pictures of her were circulated via social media as recently as last week. Police have warned they will clamp down on anyone who publicly names her online or elsewhere.
One of the five served with harassment warnings was Steven Knox, 29, of Sunderland, ex-boyfriend of Johnson’s sister, Faye. She runs a Facebook page ¬ defending the shamed player.

Knox allegedly posted images of the victim online claiming she had “bragged and lied”. Johnson, sentenced at Bradford Crown Court for sexual activity with the girl, messaged her more than 800 times, looked at animal porn images and had contracted two sexually transmitted diseases.
