Sierra Leone News: SLIEPA Welcomes Greencomm Technologies

The Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA) has met with GreenComm Technologies LLC who are in Sierra Leone to explore investment opportunities.
GreenComm Technologies LLC are a group with extensive experience in energy Infrastructure projects and have been involved in developing a 300megawatts Wind Farm in Aysha Ethiopia and a 100megawatts Solar Plant in Nakuru Kenya.
The investors expressed their enthusiastic interest and commitment concerning their proposal for constructing a state-of-the-art 1,110megawatt Base load power station at the Bumbuna Hydro Dam.

They describe how their proposal will work with the Agenda for Prosperity with reference to the energy sector to meet the specific needs of the Government using the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) system.
The Chief Executive Officer of SLIEPA Mr. Raymond Kai Gbekie welcomed the group and highlighted key areas of investment opportunities and infrastructure in areas like tourism. In his statement “SLIEPA is the private sector advocate in the public sector” he said.

The Managing Partner Mr Ned Getachew explained their interest in the energy sector in his statement saying “as a group, we have extensive experience in the field and are able to share our experience and expertise concerning projects of this type, we will be able to Build Operate and Transfer the most cost effective and efficient power plant that can fulfill the energy needs for Freetown, now and well into the future”.

The CEO Mr Raymond Gbekie gave the group a copy of the investment guide and told them about the performance contract signed with the president. He expressed his appreciation to the group and assured them of any assistance needed.
