A Scottish university has
stripped presidential candidate Donald Trump of his honorary degree after he
called for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S.
Mr Trump, who is
currently running for the Republican post, was awarded a Doctorate of Business
Administration from Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen in October 2010.
A spokesman for RGU
confirmed that Trump's honorary degree has now been revoked, saying that his
views on Islam are 'wholly incompatible' with their ethos and values.
Trump has since sparked
outrage across the world demanding a 'total and complete shutdown' on Muslim
immigration to America, in the wake of the mass shooting in San Bernandino
which saw two ISIS sympathisers kill 14 people.
