Sierra Leone Sports: 7-man committee breaks silence

The seven-man committee set up to look into the real delegates list has broken its silence during a press conference held on Wednesday 2nd December 2015 at the Atlantic Hall at the   Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown. The Chairman of the committee, Dr. S Conteh said the committee was set up to identify the 47 stakeholders that will take part in the Sierra
Leone Football Association (SLFA) congress; it was key their principal mandate, adding that the committee was unable to start work because of funding, which SLFA and FIFA failed to provide. He said when they submitted their budget to SLFA they told the committee that the budget was too high, so they invited him to SLFA secretariat at Kingtom and the budget was cut down drastically.

But they still did not mind, they think they were going to give them the money so that they can start the work but to is surprise they told him that there is no money. According to Chairman Conteh, he thinks SLFA is playing games to buy time. “That is why the committee has decided to call the press to give them update, saying that  but with all that the committee  continues with its work.” He also revealed that come Saturday 5th December 2015, all 47  delegates will come to Freetown at this same hall for verification  and
approval. It is now left with them to come for verification. “We are doing this because the game needs to play”.
