For the first time ever,
Africa’s top movie director Kunle Afoloyan is showing off his multi-million
naira two-level Mediterranean mansion in Lagos. The palatial house stands
on more than three plots of land and is protected from the serene environment
by a high fence.
The
house itself has a rooftop deck which looks out on a family size swimming pool
and a large parking space that proudly holds an antique car.
“Some people may see this as show off but the
wise will see beyond the surface,” the ‘October 1’ movie producer and actor
said, noting, “My main motive of putting this video out is firstly, to
appreciate the goodness of God in my life but majorly to use it as a medium to
minister and encourage every hardworking Nigerian out there.”
Last October, Afolayan
concluded the shooting of his much-anticipated movie, The CEO, which tells
the story of a company – TransWire Communications – whose CEO nominates
five employees for a leadership programme. The most impressive eventually
replaces him as the new CEO. And last week, he held a private screening
for the press and a selected crowd.
Now, he
is taking a break from work. Here, he talks about hard work and success, and
having to live in Nigeria like his counterparts in the United States, because
really, a hardworker deserved all the happiness life can give.
