Ashaka Cement loses N46n To Insurgency In The Northeast


A leading cement company in Nigeria, Ashaka cement has suffered losses of N46 billion to attacks by militant Islamist sect, Boko Haram on its plant in north-east Nigeria.

Its chairman, Suleiman Yahaya revealed at weekend after a meeting with the Emir of Gombe that despite the attack, Ashaka Cement was determined to ensure it was “one of the only surviving institutions in the entire north-eastern Nigeria.
