Sierra Leone News: Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel Beefs Up Security

The General Manager of Radisson Blu, Mammy Yoko Hotel, Mr. Nuno Neves has informed us that due to the continue attacks on high quality hotels in West Africa, they have decided to beef up security in their hotel and not wait for any emergency.
Nuno Neves said since all started, they have decided to bring in the police to help the G4S Security Company at the gate and they have instituted a stop and search method, searching anyone entering the premises of the hotel.

“We have also made sure that every floor of the hotel has a security guard and also have patrols around the compound as we must be vigilant in keeping the hotel safe. Also, we have instituted training for our staff on security matters as we are doing everything possible to make sure that we prepare ourselves for any eventuality.”
Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko is the best hotel in Sierra Leone that caters for all international dignitaries that come into the country. Just this week, they hosted the Belgian Trade delegation as well as the delegation from China.

During the ebola crisis, it was because of Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko that many expatriates were able to come and fight ebola because they were always safe in staying at this hotel. Even when United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon came to the three West African countries that were affected by ebola, he only slept in Freetown because of Radisson Blu.
It is in this vein that the General Manager is calling for nationwide support to keep the hotel safe because it has enormous advantages in helping the country to develop its economy.
